Cash was previous arrested in 1967 in Walker County, Georgia, just after police identified he was carrying a bag of prescription capsules when in a car accident. Cash attempted to bribe an area deputy, who turned the money down. He was jailed for that evening in LaFayette, Georgia. Sheriff Ralph Jones unveiled him right after supplying him a length
